Installing SBS Standard?

Are you installing SBS Standard and wondering why you have the option of an upgrade or a custom install?
The WinPE environment for SBS Setup is based on the underlying Win2008R2 code (or for SBS 2008, just Server 2008), the full server products do have the functionality to upgrade enabled*, but for SBS this is DISABLED. So your only option is a custom install. Slightly confusing if you havent seen it before, but now you know.
*More info on upgrade paths for full server products can be found here:
I had inherited a SBS 2003 network that was using POP3 connector to retrieve email. When I took over the customers SBS 2003 my first task was to migrate them to SBS 2011 and get them off of the POP3 connector. The migration went smoothly and I was able to migrate their network successfully. The issue I’m having however is with the removal of the POP3 connector. When I switch the MX record to point to the Exchange server I have a situation where some mailboxes work (can email to and from), and some mailboxes return an error that the recipient name does not exist when being emailed too from external location. I am stumped as to why certain mailboxes work and some don’t.
Can you post up the exact error?
Basically sounds to me like those accounts don’t actually exist.
Did you check the properties of someones account that is affected to see if they do have the email address on their account?
I “re-did” my mx records and all email mailbox’s are working as expected. Thank you for your respone.
