This one puzzled me for several hours this week. After making some changes to the structured cabling we were alerted to an issue preventing SSLVPNs from connecting.
Anyone attempting to connect saw the progress stop at 98% received an error similar to :
Unable to establish the VPN Connection (E=98,T-981066010,M99,R10)

A friend called me up recently to ask for help with a Windows laptop. It had been running Windows 8.1 and auto upgraded to 10. During the upgrade, or, as a consequence of the upgrade it had lost its VPN connection to the main office.
It would not allow a new VPN connection to be setup either, with the wizard instantly failing after you entered the remote IP address, or, accepting the remote IP Address but sitting on the ‘Creating the Connection’ screen indefinitely. Read more of this post

Ugh VPNS! Is what a lot of the MVPs said when we were told that VPN was being reintroduced as a feature on the Essentials SKU. No one uses VPNs anymore right? too insecure, too difficult to configure probably, doesn’t work in a hotel… or a star bucks. Read more of this post
