You may have seen an error like this on Outlook 2010 when trying to remove an obsolete account.
You may also be impressed to know the same thing occurs in Outlook 2013.
You may also have resigned yourself to creating a new profile, however that is not the only way!

..and it doesn’t make any sense. Or perhaps worse, it can be used to make a point it might otherwise not support. 68% of people know this to be fact.
Most famously of course a similar incident nearly ruined the Rutles career.
Sadly this has happened to me, and what started off as quite amusing, has ended up being very stressful and potentially damaging to me, my employers and frankly anyone else because it demonstrates how much we are at the mercy of the media and rely on them to do some basic checking before they go ahead and print something. I have had several occurrences now of Office 2013 failing to activate. This is on brand new PCs with a trial of 2013 installed, or partially installed and after i have registered the key with a Live ID.
I read on a forum that one possible solution to the failure to activate was to go into an Office application, go to File, then Account and use the change license button to enter a new key. The problem was, it didn’t have that option listed. Read more of this post

Are you new to managing an OS other than Small Business Server?
If so you may be forgiven for thinking that that ‘MyBusiness’ OU Structure present in SBS for as long as i have worked with it, is the norm for an Active Directory domain. Indeed if you go into Group Policy Management and find those OUs missing, you might think… er.. ‘this is broken!’

Another quick announcement – November UR for 2012 R2, Windows RT 8.1 & Windows 8.1 includes no fewer than 15 fixes for issues that will also affect Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials.

A busy week for Updates for the Colorado product line, which is made up of SBS 2011 Essentials, Windows Home Server 2011 and Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials.
KBs 2885313, 314 and 315 respectively fix issues around IE 11 and 404 Directory not found issues.

This is a quick post just based on something i have done this morning for a charity i do some volunteer support for. This year i installed a new server for them running Windows Server 2012, and two Hyper-V guests as a Domain Controller and Exchange server. Due to budget restraints they only had a single USB drive available for backups, and of course, recently that failed.
